Truffle & Rye started with a simple idea: to create the kind of place we would want in our own community.

After years spent in restaurants and hospitality, we wanted to take everything we love about great food and bring it into a setting that feels comfortable, welcoming, and part of everyday life. A place where you can stop in for coffee in the morning, meet a friend for lunch, pick up a bottle of wine for dinner, or discover something new on the market shelves.

Food is at the heart of what we do. Our menu is chef-driven, our ingredients are chosen with care, and many of the products throughout our market come from small producers and businesses we believe in. We care about where things come from, how they’re made, and most importantly, whether they’re genuinely good.

But some of our favorite parts of Truffle & Rye have become the things we couldn’t fully plan for—the familiar faces at the counter, conversations over coffee, packed tables during an event, and watching this space become part of people’s routines.

We’re a family-owned business, and this community is where we’re raising our family too. That makes what we create incredibly personal to us.

Being welcomed into Third Place gives us the opportunity to take a little piece of Truffle & Rye beyond our own four walls. We’re excited to share what we do with a new part of Houston, meet some new faces, and hopefully extend the sense of community that has become such an important part of who we are.
